"Time would align"
Dining at Nerone on a crisp Firenze night
Without each other’s physical for Time had gone.
Passed, indeed, It counted months between their shared bite
So they blindly walked, stood unaware in false lines long.
Watching the same film, only miles apart in space,
The feeling, equal in the hearts of he and she –
The same lock, the same thoughts – in a different place.
They hit but miss, their timing’s off, they do have the key.
Two people sharing passions, looking for that one to split –
With two eyes too open for he and she each –
So persistent, self-dignified, they don’t know to quit
the quest, the search, the race, the fight, the hunt, the reach.
For rushing to spots at frenzied paces, afraid of being late,
Would prove fruitless – Time would align – if they could only wait.
