There’s nothing we can do
Human beings are apt to do nothing
The least amount of effort exerted
Is the preferable method in life
What is easiest? That’s what we want
I don’t want easy
I want to work
I want to earn
It is easy to be happy on the surface
It is easy to laugh
It is easy to feel safe
It isn’t easy to dive
It isn’t easy to close your eyes and fall back
It is not easy to leap
To hope
To dream
To be FREE
That’s not easy
If you don’t want to dream,
Be lazy
Be safe
Don’t do anything.
If you want to dream
Let go of your fear
If you want to hope
Let go of your fear
If you want to transcend surface happiness
If you want to shiver
If you want to tremble
If you want to feel
If you want to live
Let go of your fear.
You might fall
You might get hurt
Or you might be saved
You might find something you couldn’t dream of
Holding onto fear is like staring through a glass window
At true and utter happiness manifested in a tangible form.
You can see what you are missing
But you don’t know
Stare through your window
I want someone who isn’t content peering in and pondering “what if”
I want someone who needs to find out “what if”
I need someone who needs to find out “what if”
I need you.
But only you
Not your fear
Your fear keeps you on top of a lonely building
While the world passes below
Stay on your building
Don’t do anything rash
Don’t try anything crazy
Because crazy is “bad”
Crazy is dangerous
Stay on your building

Wonder if you’d fall flat
Or if I would catch you
