Wednesday Workday Reads

2/18/2015

Considering that life is often filled with undesirable responsibilities, I have to write down how lucky I am to be able to read so many wonderful texts every day of my week. Among the texts for this week:

- Still on the Kama Sutra. I plan on practicing some real world application after this "Classical and Modern Traditions" class sets me free… LADIES.
- Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood
- "Terrorism Works" by Hamilton Nolan
- For the Benefit of All Beings by His Holiness the XIV Dalai Lama
- "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" by Ambrose Bierce

How about you? What are you reading and what should I read next?

I have been reading The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, What If?, and just started the Die Hard comic (yes, there is a prequel comic).

I love the title "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge" and have been wanting to read it for a couple years. I will need to find a copy soon.

I've never heard of the first two you mention, but I think the Die Hard comic sounds interesting. As for "An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge," Kurt Vonnegut once called it the finest example of American literature -- and you can Google the full text. It is not long. Check it out!
