Just wondering if anyone else is as concerned with the staying power of Dippin' Dots as I am... When these were first introduced, I figured they'd be gone within a year or two. Now they sell them at Padres games and everyone loves them. Personally, I've always felt ice cream was just fine the way it is. I mean, were people really clamoring for a change?


The only potential improvement over standard ice cream I can even possibly imagine is the scooping issue. I've bent many a spoon trying to fill my ice cream bowl; however, I don't think the scoopability is going to win me over because no matter how easy these things are to fill up a bowl, I'll never get rid of the feeling that I'm eating flavored rabbit excretion. Not really, but now I hope you all think about it when you eat Dippin' Dots and switch back to regular ice cream.

I need to do a better job of updating this, but better once every few months than never, right?

First piece of news: Two new poems to be uploaded to the "poetry" page. Check 'em out!

Secondly: Finally back to working on a couple of projects. School and work will likely muffle my creativity starting this Fall, but I finally am beginning to feel some ideas again.

Third, and most importantly: I am actually going through the process of putting my book up on Amazon.com. Tell your friends!

Fourth, and still in the works: I have been asked to become a "Featured Writer" on the new website of the California Cedar Products company. The website should be launched next week with a biography of me and a few essays/posts regarding the writing process and tips. Check out www.pencils.com starting next week!
